Attorney Michelle Farley has been practicing law since 1991. She graduated from NYU School of Law and served as a Law Clerk to Honorable Marvin J. Garbis at the Federal District Court of Maryland in Baltimore. Afterward, she worked at two large law firms in Washington, DC, before relocating to Pennsylvania. From 1998 to 2012, Attorney Farley developed her solo Pennsylvania practice, focusing on family law, real estate, title insurance, district court matters, and estate and probate matters. In 2012, she joined Fisher & Fisher, where she led the family-law department until 2023. In June 2023, she founded Farley Law, LLC, where she continues to represent clients in uncontested divorce, mediated divorce, custody, adoption, guardianship, and estate planning.
Attorney Farley has extensive litigation experience, including high-asset divorce, custody, support, and adoption cases.
She has appellate experience, having taken several cases to the Pennsylvania Superior Court. She has extensive experience in brief writing at both the trial and appellate levels. She has argued cases at the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Attorney Farley served as the solicitor for Paradise Township in 2004 and was counsel for a local private community for ten years. She has taught classes for the Monroe County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association and has judged Mock Trial competitions for the Monroe County Bar Association for over 15 years. In 2023, she was recognized for her Pro Bono work by the Monroe County Bar Association. She also served as Chairperson of the Diversity Committee of the Monroe County Bar Association.
Attorney Farley has been a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators for many years and has mediated dozens of divorce cases to successful conclusion. She is a co-founding member of the Pocono Collaborative Lawyers. Additionally, Michelle Farley is a Pennsylvania Notary Public and has been for nearly 20 years. She serves on the board of directors of the Brodhead Watershed Association and is a former US team member and former University of Wisconsin rower.
